Hi Dudes
Ok decided to mod my muffler along the lines of what I think Jesse does to the DR350 muffler.
I have chopped the round section of the muffler off and gutted it of the reverse baffle system and the perforated tube and sound deading material. I have also made a turned down 1.5 inch outlet for the end.
Now the inlet from the main body of the exhaust is approx 1 inch OD but is off centre by about 1.25/ 1.375 inch. So the question is should I port this pipe back over to the centre and straight out to the new turned down end cap I have made ( very fiddly), or should I just leave it which would mean that the round section of the muffler would act as a sort off expansion box. I do not think that the little extra back pressure that would be caused by this over porting it over and straight out would be significant?
If somebody that has jesse's muffler mod could do me the favour of poking thier finger inside the end cap and feeling to see whether Jesse pipes it over or leaves it open would clear thing up for definate (be careful as there may be a sharp edge).
TBH I think for the 50 Jesse charges for the mod, I find it hard to believe he goes to that much trouble. It would be nice to know for sure though if anyone could take the trouble to have a poke around smile.gif .
I hope to be welding it all back together Sunday depending on feed back from you guys.
I will try to post pics when its finished. banana.gif

I just remembered, when I talked to Jesse about this modification,
he told me he uses a curved piece of pipe on the front end of the
modification. I assume it is in front of the baffle plates so I can't
see it. He also told me he pretty much guts the muffler and redoes
the entire inside of it.
I just rode my bike around the yard, it sounds real nice! Not offensively
loud at all. In fact, the throatier sound is less grating than the stock
wheeze that it used to have.
Hope this helps
